Graduation and stuff
Aiden graduated from preschool on Friday. It was very cute but a little long. The children were dressed in yellow caps and gowns and began the program singing. Aiden was in the back row behind a tall girl, so I didn’t get to see much. There was also the problem of parents standing and taking pictures or filming. It was funny. I was reminded of that scene in “Say Anything” at the HS graduation where it cuts to all the camcorders recording. Funny.
He’s off for the summer. Today I realized that this is just the beginning of summer vacations for him. I loved summers. It was the time for vacations, reading, movies, ice cream, late nights, drive ins, sleep overs, etc… There is a book that captures the feeling of summer so well, it’s actually one of my favorites and where I get the title for this blog: Many people dismiss Ray Bradbury because of his sci-fi work, but he really is a wonderful writer with such vivid imagery.
