We have been totally blessed by good friends. Our home has a huge backyard for LA standards, and I’ve always wanted to have a play ground area for Aiden, but they are very expensive. Well our friends are moving and so they gave us their play area!! David and Melvin spent hours taking it down and putting it together.

Here they are in action around 11pm:

Aiden was so excited to get up the next day and play on “Dante’s Playground.”

I met with Aiden’s future preschool teacher today! There’s something out here called First 5 LA and it is funding a preschool initiative called LAUP. Well, basically it’s free preschool if you qualify and if you don’t, it’s $40 a month. That is a steal for preschool, let me tell you. I was skeptical at first. But… Mrs. Gonzales is credentialed, has been teaching for 10 years in the same districit I’ve been in, has a great student to teacher ratio 14:2, follows an organized and good curriculum, and is a believer. Aiden sat in on “circle time” and got right in there sharing and everything.

So, I’m filing out the paperwork, and he can start in Sept - 4 mornings a week. God is so good to us because we couldn’t afford the schools I had looked into, both private and public. He literally put this one at my doorstep - it’s only about 3 min. from my house!
Thanks God!
